We all know its Willie, but is is from quite a few years back. I actually got to see him ‘before he turned’ into the Willie we know and love today. It’s fun seeing him as he was back then and singing the songs. It’s the same voice, same nice manner, and same easy listening.

I can still remember seeing this Willie in Corpus Christi in the late 60’s. He was actually the first act and the headliner was one of my all time favorites. Johnny Bush.
Great memories
I heard this Willie sing these same songs at the Broken Spoke in Austin in 1967 or 68. I still like to hear him, just don’t like looking at him nowadays.

Good one. I remember seeing this Willie at Flore’s Country Store back in the old days when it was a great beer joint and dance hall. Unfortunately it too has now gotten more commercialized — my last trip there was a year or so ago and I swore never to return. Remember Willie’s birthday coming up on April 29. Happy Birthday Willie.
