Leon Russell’s cover of Wild Horses is the best! I always half-joke to my friends and say they should build a “Mount Rushmore” monument to Willie, Waylon, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristoferson and place it on the southlawn of the Texas Capitol. Only you would have to add Leon Russell, David Allan Coe, and a slew of others. It would be hard to leave anyone out.
