Aggies to the rescue

Chile Mine Rescue

As I write this, 29 of the 33 trapped miners in Chile have been successfully recovered.  I had heard somewhere that a Texan was involved in the rescue, but had not looked it up.  My friend Shannon over at her blog, So It Goes in Texas, details the Texas Aggie who has come to the rescue.

It’s an interesting story and since Shannon is an Aggie herself she was happy to tell it and add a little Whoop to the story.

Go ahead and click here to go read the story.

We also have a link in the Friends and Blogs left sidebar of Real Texas Blog to Shannon’s blog and I read it often myself.  Go ahead and give So It Goes in Texas a read and become a subscriber if you like it.  Lots of good Texas related stuff there.  And yes, even though she lives in Houston now, she grew up in Del Rio and that’s about as Real Texan as it gets.

Thanks so much, David! How nice. Nothing better than a compliment from a Real Texan! It’s a great story about some remarkable Aggies. Thanks again.
