Learn to tie knots the easy way
No, You don’t have to be a Boy Scout to learn to tie a good know, but it sure helps. I was in Boy Scouts, and helped with our local troop for a number of years, but only learned a few basic knots. It was just the other day that I was tying my lure to my fishing line and realized I couldn’t do it without my glasses. Darn and dern. What a predicament. And the # 1 son Joe David was not here to tie me a knot. He still remembers how to tie most knots from his Boy Scout days.
So when I came across this knot tying website, I was really interested. Maybe I can learn one of these knots and ‘not’ have to be wearing my glasses, which usually stay in the house or in my ‘manspace’ office downstairs.
The website is called Netknots.com Give ’em a visit.
They have a whole section on fishing knots including:
- Albright special
- Blood Knot
- Double Uni
- Nail Knot
- Seaguar Knot
- Slim Beauty Knot
- Surgeon’s Knot
- Improved cinch knot
Those are all pretty good fishing knots and there is one there I can surely learn without having to have my glasses.
For instance, here is a graphic of the Improved Cinch Knot which is used to tie on to a lure or fish hook.
