Rest in peace Steve Jobs
The first computer I ever bought was a Compaq suitcase looking thing. After suffering through MS-DOS for a while, I dumped it and purchased an Apple computer. I have had one ever since…..
When Jobs talks about serif and sans serif type and justifying lines of type, it just made sense to me having grown up in the era of linotypes, typecases, and knowing what different fonts of type looked like. After all, I had hand thrown the type back into the various cases from which they came. I even knew what the various fonts felt like.
What a loss for the rest of us…..

Couldn’t agree more, David! We have had Mac’s for years….before it was “cool” to have a Mac….would never go back to the PC world….
David, I have good news for all of us about learning how to live before we die…”Jesus said to her,”I am the resurrection and the life, anyone who lives and believes in me will never die,,,Jon ll:25…we just change zip codes. Jesus said to the thief on the cross,”today (not if or but) you will be with me in paradise.”
I was shocked of this news. I didn’t know Steve Jobs was fighting the cancer for years and yet he didn’t seem to show it. He worked on and if I’m not mistaken didn’t step down as Apple CEO until about 2 months ago. That to me is courage. He didn’t sickness get in the way. Bravo Mr. Jobs! May you rest in peace! 🙂
Steve Jobs’ legacy will live on for many years, no doubt. The man was a genius in marketing and making things a hit. That’s why the i* devices sold millions. RIP good sire. You did great.
There is only one thing I can say about the man – He was inspirational! I hope Apple does not go into an uncontrollable spiral downwards like it did before when Steve Jobs was not at the helm.
