Since we now live just outside of San Antonio, we can visit the Alamo and all San Antonio missions sites as often as we want to go. The good folks at Marriot have provided a custom info graphic to remind you of the timeline of events back then.
The info graphic was created by the digital marketing team at Marriott and I was provided the graphic by Annie Srsen of that team. Big thanks to Marriott for the graphic!

Why did they build it downtown?
There was no down town at that time, down town built around the Alamo later on, LOL!
Ha Ha Jim Bob and Darla. Have ya’ll never been to downtown anywhere?
I don’t think you got my last Email, but what I said was yep, I have been down town many times and to the Alamo even bought a coffee cup from the Alamo with a picture of the Alamo on it. I was born and lived in San Antonio except for a couple of years that I lived in Dallas and Waco but I’m back in San Antonio! 🙂
I like the Info Graphic, wonder if there is a way for me to get my hands on one? My cousin who does genealogy found that we are possibly related to 2 men who died at the Alamo, John Blair and Samuel Blair. My grandmother on my father’s side of the family was a Blair..Troy
Being related to some of the Alamo heroes is a family honor….The info graphic came from Marriot. See if you can copy it off the site or download it off the site here.
Thanks David,Troy
