On occasion, I will just drive up to the front door of a store and drop her off.
She says, “are you coming in?” I say no, and then go park so I can take a nap.
I love taking naps out in the pickup while she is in the store. I just about doze off when she bangs on the glass wanting back in.
She needs help….bad!
and the bag of 6 or so peppers was like $6.98. That’s over a dollar a pepper.
That’s just too much.
The produce guy was re-stocking that particular display when I was pointing out the cost and I was informed I was talking too loud about the exhorbitant price of the peppers. I just replied to her that I WANTED the guy to know his peppers cost too much. She replied that they were not HIS peppers and that he only worked there and had no control over Sam’s pricing policies.
Fair enough.
That’s probably true, but they still cost too much.
buy the large containers and I considered this to be a bargain if I ever saw one. A whole gallon of chocolate pudding for a nominal price is a bargain.
loaves of lemon pound cake for $5.82. Now just imagine how good a half a lemon pound cake would be with a large glass of cold milk.
Delicious. I can almost taste it, can’t you?
But no, that good idea went down just like the gallon of chocolate pudding.
In my opinion, it’s just not logical. The peppers you can enjoy only one time. On the other hand, you can enjoy half a loaf of lemon pound cake and several glasses of cold milk at least 6 times. Which seems like the better bargain to you?
Sometimes women just don’t understand the logic of shopping wisely.
I explained that when I was a kid, we often just went out and shot a jackrabbit and the dogs enjoyed it for several days. The dog food she bought has rice, vegetables, and a bunch of other non-food items that can’t be good for dogs…..even though my dog once enjoyed an entire cardboard box full of styrofoam peanuts.
OK, I’m not going there either. Chalk that up to a no win for me on the chocolate pudding and the lemon pound cake and the uneccessary dogfood.
So much for my input on shopping.

Ok, this is one of my fav’s….I can definitely tell you and Bur are related! This sounds exactly like a trip he and I take to Sam’s, except he LOVES to shop at Sam’s and me, well….not so much….Thanks for making me smile this AM.

Don’t you ever nap sitting in the lawn furniture
at Sam’s? Some stores even have a nice big
sofa in front of a big-screen TV. Lots of seniors
take advantage of these. Just yesterday, I was in
Sam’s in McKinney, TX. —no more had I gotten
settled in front of TV when a total stranger came up
from behind & said: “No snoring now!!” He knew by
experience what I was up to.
By the way, those 72-73″ big screens are on the
way out, I saw an 84″ at Best Buy yesterday…Nice!
Real Nice!!
You said “seniors” like I was one…….
Women shop. Men go get stuff.
Hey Bob: Truer words were never explained so well. I’m going back for my chocolate puddin’.
