Visit Real Texas

You can visit nearly anywhere in Texas without spending a dime?  How is that possible you might ask?

You can visit virtually.  A bit later, I’ll give you a link to a site that can take you back to your old hometown, your old stomping grounds as it were, or back to draggin’ main in your old hometown.

I tried Google Earth a while back and never quite got the hang of it.  This is a different version of all that.  It’s easier and to me, that is a very good thing.  When you enter a physical address you will see a picture of that place.

You can drive up and down the street.  Look at the old neighborhood.  Comment that so and so needs to cut their grass.

There are still some quirks to using this system, but it works pretty good.  I had to ‘drive’ down the street some to get to my house,  but I got there and yep, it was my house warts and all.

Back to the quirks….In my case, it did not pick up on my physical address, probably because it is rural.  So, I placed my cursor on the little man on the right hand side and clicked on him and moved him down the street to my house….worked like a charm.

Click here for a link to visit your favorite place.

The site uses Google Street Views and a couple of other programs to do all this.  It is is very good use for a lot of purposes….probably one of the best being virtual  real estate visits.

Enjoy.

Real neat. I pulled up all my rent houses. Can’t wait
until I can check on my dog in the back yard while I’m
on vacation in Alaska or Scotland!! Will probably be
able to do so soon!!
