Hey Vivian and thanks for bringing up TCU! I love the TCU Horned Frogs. And Yes, Midland is smack in the heart of Real Texas. I had the pleasure of becoming friends with Buddy Illes a couple of years ago and became an instant TCU fan. Illes caught the pass that beat UT out of the national championship in the early 60′s. These small town scrappers are my favorite kind of football players.

Thanks Vivian for mentioning the TCU Horned toads, Texans
should be equally proud of them although they’ll probably never
get recognition of TU. Also, keep an eye on Baylor’s
cracker-jack QB Robert Griffin (sadly got injured early this
season), but hopefully has a great future. Joe Barnes
former pro from Reagan County (Big Lake) told me that
Griffin is the “real deal,” & Joe knows a good QB when
he sees one. TEXAS has the best football per sq. ft. in USA!

Don’t forget, as so many have, a Real Texas Team from where the West begins: Texas Christian University: Undefeated and playing in the Separate, But Equal Bowl in Arizona.
The Horned Frogs are driven by kids from Maud, Snyder, LaVernia, Burnet, Missouri City (yea, it’s in Texas) Navasota, Edna., Katy, Irving, Garland, Midland (I guess Midland’s in Texas), Odessa, and so on.
