Is it true?
Well, as he put it, it was a little tongue in cheek statement, but he would if things fell into place. The point being is that he is not happy with the way things are going with the U.S. federal government and he probably thinks a separate Texas could do a better job.
Here is a link to the article he wrote on his website so you can read all about it yourself. Be sure to also read Glen Beck’s We Surround Them article which has a link in Norris’ article. I got the information a little too late as I don’t watch TV until late at night and then it is usually Fox News. Beck’s We Surround Them story will air/already aired on Fox News Channel Friday, March 13, at 5 p.m. EDT.
Norris said, “My wife, Gena, and I will be hosting a meeting from our Texas ranch. We’ve invited many family members, friends and law enforcement officials to join us. It’s our way of saying, We’re united; we’re tired of the corruption; and we’re not going to take it anymore!” The meeting he is referring to is part of a national grassroots effort initiated by Beck and others and you can find more info and a link on Norris’ website.
At the meetings across the nation, they will discuss the 9 principals and 12 values they believe in. Here is a listing of the 9 principals and 12 values.
The Nine Principles
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
12 Values

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.
Sound like the basis of a good foundation for a political party I hereby call the Texas Republic Party. I nominate Norris here and now to organize such a political party in Texas founded on these principals.
I’m David Werst and I’ll be seeing you at a meeting of the Texas Republic Party.

Good idea Chuck. You too, Glen.
Why don’t the rest of you all join the Great American Tea Party, scheduled for April 1?
“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When
half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.
You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”
Put the above in an envelope, along with a tea bag.
On April 1st:
Mail to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave,
Washington D. C. 20500 .
If he needs a VP candidate, I would be willing.
Isn’t it funny how everyone is having to be “taught” the basic
principles of humanity, when they should be obvious to anyone?
Way to go Chuck!!! I wasn’t able to watch Glen Beck because I didn’t get the email about this blog entry until this morning. Hopefully they will replay it or have it available to watch on their web site. My hubby and I love Chuck Norris because he says what he thinks and doesn’t care what anybody thinks of him. He’s got our vote (if we’re lucky enough to have moved to my hubby’s home state of Texas by that time).
I’d vote for him in a heartbeat!
I think Chuck Norris could do a better job than many of the people in Washington DC today. We watched the Glenn Beck special and it was great!
Sounds like a great platform for that third party that takes over power…
Also goes along with the article written by Bill Keffer, a former Texas State Representative (R – Dallas). You can read his article at http://www.empowertexans.com/node/871
