Screw You Blue States

Texans are not whining about the elections.

Ok, Folks. Texas has given you complainers plenty of time to get used to the election results. After listening to all the whiners after the election, some folks from Real Texas have decided that we might just take matters into our own hands.

First a little history lesson. It’s our independent nature to point out the people who enjoy the Texas Lifestyle have the right to secede and form our own country once again whenever the people of Texas choose to do so. Some other states also have this right. The difference is, Texas has actually pulled that trigger before.

Yes, Texas was an Independent Republic before it became a state and can secede. Nothing inherently prohibits that from taking place.

Let’s get this straight. John McCain, a real American hero, carried Texas by over a million votes.  Texans can still smell the fires of the Twin Towers. We would also honor President Bush. George Bush simply did what any Real Texan would do and that is to go try his best to annihilate anyone who was responsible for attacking us. We don’t fault him for that. We applaud that sort of behavior. It’s Texas politics, Texas style.

We’re ready to secede.

Don’t get me wrong. We like ya’ll — We just don’t want to be like ya’ll.

#1: Barak Obama becomes President of the United States (all the other 49 states).

#2: Ross Perot becomes the next President of the Republic of Texas and invites John McCain to be an honorary Texan. We honor our heroes in Texas and honor their service. McCain is welcome here and he can be Secretary of the Texas Navy. Native Texan George Foreman will be Secretary of Defense. After that is all said and done, we wish Mr. Obama well. We really do.

We expect one of Perot’s first acts as President of the Republic will be to tear down the border wall and erect a 10’ wall around Austin to keep the “Austin Weird” folks in and away from the rest of us. If they will just pipe their Texas music out over the wall, it will keep the rest of us happy. ( Just kidding my Austin relatives on that one.) However, Willie will be Secretary of Agriculture and music. Wonder what he will grow?

So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic? Here’s a few things to be aware of. Texas is the 11th largest economy on the planet. We are bigger than Spain and right behind Great Britain. We are also bigger than Russia. We are an economic force to be reckoned with. We have a constitutional amendment to balance our budget….and we do it. We also have a multi-billion dollar budget surplus this year. We are so big, we have our own power grid. Yes, that’s true.

What else?
NASA is in Houston. (we will control the space industry). We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States. Defense Industry? We have over 65% of it. The term “Don’t mess with Texas,” will take on a whole new meaning. Oil – we can supply all the oil the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. Obama states? Sorry about that.

As David Werst said, “We like ya’ll, we just don’t want to be like ya’ll.” You can buy oil (pronounced like ya’ll) from us instead of terrorist countries that hate you. We will love you for paying so much to us instead of Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Kuwait and others.

You don’t want to ‘drill baby drill’ or put up with those nasty oil wells? Well, we do and we know how to do it without polluting the land, air, and sea. BTW-We have our own ports and shipping lanes. We’re also not “waiting on our FEMA check” to rebuild Galveston. We are doing it right now as we speak. Natural Gas – Again we have all we need and again, it’s just too bad about you blue Obama states who don’t want drilling. We’ve been driving around with those big tanks in the backs of our pickups for years now. We’ll switch over to compressed natural gas. Obama will figure a way to keep ya’ll warm….according to your need. Or, you could use ocean waves, or make friends with Hugo Chavez or what’s his name in Iran.

Computer Industry – we currently lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications: Small places like Texas Instruments, Dell, EDS, Raytheon, Motorola, Intel, Austin Technology Centers Etc, Etc. The list goes on and on. Health Centers – We have the largest research centers for Cancer research, the best burn centers and the top trauma units in the world, and other large health centers. We have enough colleges to keep us going: UT, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Texas State University, Rice, SMU, TCU, University of Houston, Baylor, UNT, Texas Women’s University, etc. Ivy grows better in the south anyway. We have a ready supply of workers (just open the border when we need some more).

But, we won’t have an illegal immigration problem. Former Texas Governor candidate Kinky Friedman solved that. He proposed we pay 5 Mexican Generals a million a year to control illegal immigration-folks coming from Mexico to Texas illegally. For every illegal that slips through, we deduct $10,000. Wonder how many will get across the border into Texas? We won’t need a Border Patrol.

We like tourism. Come stay a while. Enjoy a Cowboys game or go to Six Flags over Texas….then go home. We don’t need any more Californians coming here and messing things up. Or, they could live in Austin where we can keep an eye on ‘em.

We have control of the paper industry, plastics, insurance, etc. In case of a foreign invasion, we have the Texas National Guard and the Texas Air National Guard. We don’t have an army but since everybody down here is heavily armed and has at least six rifles and a pile of ammo, we can raise an army in 6 hours if we need it. That’s the Texas way. When the tower sniper started shooting in Austin a few years back, citizens piled out of their cars and pickups and started returning fire within 2 minutes. Our citizens are licensed to carry handguns on their person.

We have a saying down here: “If you mess with the bull, you’re gonna get the horn.” And an even more remarkable finding from the past…. Average Murder per 100,000 residents in counties won by Bush: 0.1 of one percent. Average Murder per 100,000 residents in counties won by Gore: 13.2. In Texas, even some of our school teachers carry guns. We won’t surrender our kids to nuts and terrorists without a fight. Don’t even think about messing with us. If you want the t-shirt, click on it…

If the situation really gets bad, we can always call the Texas DPS and ask them to send over a couple of Texas Rangers. We are totally self sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs and vegetable produce and everybody down here knows how to cook them so that they taste good. Don’t need any food.

Arts? Bob Wills is still the king, but we also like different types of music, Country….and….Western. We even have our own beer. Lone Star, The National Beer of Texas. This just names a few of the items that will keep the Republic of Texas in good shape. There isn’t a thing out there that we need and don’t have. Just keep on reading David Werst’s RealTexas Blog for more details on how to be a RealTexan.

Now to the rest of the United States under President Obama: Since you won’t have the refineries to get gas for your cars, We’ll sell you gas too. We’ll call the gas company Texasco or something like that. Happy to do it. You won’t have any TV as the space center in Houston will cut off your communications or ask you to pay for the signal. It will be Texas Direct TV. Hank Jr. will move here and be in charge of programming.

Did you know we don’t even have an income tax?

We have all we need here in God’s country and like I’ve already said, if we don’t have it, we don’t need it. We will have cheap, plentiful energy. The new Texas Secretary of Energy, T. Boone Pickens will be putting up thousands of wind generators all over the west Texas plains and since everybody else thinks Texas is full of hot air, we might as well take advantage of it.

Good luck. Ya’ll are gonna need it.
Signed, The People of Real Texas

Here’s a song for you. Don’t be offended, that’s just the way it is according to Ray Wylie Hubbard.

Let’s see….in two years when the Dems have taken the country down the tubes…..I for one happen to be EXTREMELY worried about now…..I have been working for the same “American” company for 20 years, and things are looking bleak; especially this fourth quarter. There are many companies and corporations laying off, shutting down, etc. which is starting a scary trickle-down effect. Things are not looking very good right now (or for the past 4 years actually). I don’t know about your 401K, but mine is about 1/3 of what it was two years ago. If my company has a lay-off, which seems to be inevitable, then I lose my house, and Chase loses their monthly payments. And with almost every business laying off….the likelihood of me finding another job that even pays half of what I make right now is zero. There are lots of folks right now who think that a new direction might not be such a bad thing…..

Texas JeepGirl…

Why is it that a new direction was electing the same a**holes that got us there in the first place. The Dems have been in total control of Congress for over 2 years and were in control when Mr Clinton signed the legislation removing restrictions on Fannie Mae and the like, and Wall Street gambling with our money…

Lay and Skillings were strung up for much less!!!!!

Seems that the US public was and continues to be sold a pile of dung by the media and think it is chocolate….

If you are really concerned about your job how about writing your elected representatives and making them take action and not just pad their own pockets…. If we hold our elected officials to task and “We the people” take back America, we can do what should be done, “take care of ourselves”…….

You can also do something else… Turn off ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and all the other so called unbiased media and tune into FOX…. That way you can get the correct information to make plans for your life…

And just look who obama is picking for his new cabinet, all the leftovers and has-beens from the clinton admin!
We are doomed for the next 2-4 years.
Jeepgirl, I just recently shut down a tiny cafe that had been successful until march of this year, as the gas prices rose, the business fell. My town is a small pop 450 town and 95% of my customers are ranchers, between the gas, feed, & fertilizer prices, the ones who used to come in twice a day, 5 days a week dwindled to once a day, 3 times a week. The wells fargo bank shut down, no bank has bought the building, the schoo district, that has delusions of grandeur and only 505 kids from pre-K- 12th grade, managed to pass an $11 million bond for a new school and football field, which we don’t need. That election is under investigation.
Anyway, the point is, I could see the handwriting on the wall for my town, so, I shut down before dipping into my pocket anymore, and, am selling anything I don’t need, bought my first gun last week, and plan on having a big veggie garden next summer.
We all need to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best!
The tough ones will make it, the latte’ sippers won’t, good way to clean out the gene pool!
So, I hear ya jeep girl, good luck to you, hope everything works out.

I have thought Texas should be our new country for awhile.

In reguard to being a un-christian because of how I vote is so very silly. I vote for the person(man or woman, pink or purple) who believes as I believe or at least as close as I can get to my beliefs. I have never voted for a party, color, or gender.

I checked out both people who were running for president and Berry(BO) really frightened me. Not because of being a man or being green(skin color different from mine) but because of what came out of his mouth and how he has lived in the past. Who his friends are/were. Who his “Christian” leader is/was. If I don’t agree with my Christian leader I find a church with a leader that believes the Bible and what it says. If BO didn’t agree with his leader why did he stay and allow the man to teach his family? I would not nor would my husband.
The US government has taken God out of our schools and yet they pray. They give money to those who have put nothing in and those who have put money in for years by their hard work have to FIGHT for the pennies they get.

Now we are, as US citizens, going to have to fight to keep our fire arms. I wish America would wake up and smell the flowers but I think it is almost to late.

Texas, a new nation Under God. The idea is very appealing to me. I was born and raised an American but the America I love is disappearing very quickly and I fear for Texas too.

Thank you for listening…sometimes I feel I am the only one who sees what is coming. I truly am frightened for America. My family has fought and some have even died for our belief in America and most of all our belief in God.

May God Bless Texas, land that I love. May the Yellow Roses continue to bloom and pecans fall. May our birds continue to sing and the blue bonnets grow. Texas the best state in the world. I would fight for her as I would fight for the America I used to know many years ago.

Thank you Sammie…..I just get tired of hearing folks who are very one-sided…..Dems did this, Dems did that….I like people who take responsibility for their actions, right or wrong. I just don’t buy the philosophy that this economic downfall is due to the Clinton admin. I believe that many things during the past 8 years have contributed as well. I also don’t like it when there is a huge divide between the wealthy and the poor. I think that is very bad for society and the general public as well. In light of these hard economic times, I can foresee that divide getting bigger and bigger…..something about the depression, and history repeating itself…….I also think it is very suspicious when a country goes to war and the vice-president happens to be linked to the company that goes over there and profits a little from it. Just doesn’t add up. Talk about having connections that aren’s politically correct.

Have fun with this RofT’ers:

The annexation resolution has been the topic of some incorrect historical beliefs—one that remains is that the resolution granted Texas the explicit right to secede from the Union. This was a right argued by some to be implicitly held by all states at the time, up until the conclusion of the Civil War. The resolution did include two unique provisions: first, it said that up to four additional states could be created from Texas’ territory, with the consent of the State of Texas. The resolution did not include any special exceptions to the provisions of the US Constitution regarding statehood. The right to create these possible new states was not “reserved” for Texas, as is sometimes stated.[5]. Second, Texas did not have to surrender its public lands to the federal government. While Texas did cede all territory outside of its current area to the federal government in 1850, it did not cede any public lands within its current boundaries. This means that generally, the only lands owned by the federal government within Texas have actually been purchased by the government. This also means that the state government has control over oil reserves which were later used to fund the state’s public university system. In addition, the state’s control over offshore oil reserves in Texas runs out to 3 leagues (10.357 miles, 16.668 km) rather than three miles (4.828 km) as with other states[6].

A note to the blue-state lovers….the L.A. Times today reports that California may triple their already outrageously high vehicle license fees! I get a real pleasure out of telling my liberal California friends how little I pay for the license fees on my new car. When we moved to Texas four years ago, I went to the Texas DoT office to register my two cars. The lady was so apologetic when she told me it would cost a lot of money to register for the first time….about $200 more for both cars. I informed her that I was saving $500 anyway by not registering in California. Yet…the blue state is still in the red. God Bless Texas!

Yeah, well I’m here in the land of the fruits and nuts.

Looking for some place to move to.

I am from Oregon originally, 30 years ago. When I was getting ready to retire from the MC I went back to oregon and it has become so caiforniated that I decide if I had to put up with the California trash I might as well enjoy the good weather in San Diego county. That is opposite of the LOUSY weather in Oregon.

Now I am getting sick of putting up with the trash here.

I have a couple of friends that have moved to Texas and they are real happy there. Trouble is they are still in the Navy and can’t help me get a job.

all of this brings me to the question, If I move to Texas, and promise NOT to bring the California ideas, are you guys gonna run me off???

Go to http://www.traveltex.com sign up for the FREE Travel book, which pretty much covers every town in Texas and gives you a synopsis of goings on, pick out a spot, then contact the chamber of commerce and subscribe to the local paper to see if there are any jobs available for your field.

Let’s get serious about this secession! We need to get likeminded individuals into office and stop talking and start doing. Let’s get back to the founding fathers of Texas and the USA’s idea’s. Texas also needs to overhaul its constitution but instead of going to all the trouble of writing a new one we can adopt the USA’s their not using it. We can just dust it off and put it back into practice. Listen ya’ll if we don’t make our move soon it will be too late. I for one am ready to form a more perfect Republic.
May God bless each one of you and may He bless the Republic of Texas!

If the founding fathers of the Texas and US Constitution were here they would kick the current elected officials out of office and “tar and feather” them… I would say they would be outraged at the lengths some of the Senators and Reps have gone to spend someone else’s money on things the other person would not have spent it on…

As Horatio Bunce told Davy Crockett “Congress has no right to give charity. Individual members may give as much of their own money as they please, but they have no right to touch a dollar of the public money for that purpose.” He also said “The people have delegated to Congress, by the Constitution, the power to do certain things. To do these, it is authorized to collect and pay moneys, and for nothing else. Everything beyond this is usurpation, and a violation of the Constitution.” In short, Congress has exceeded it’s constitutional authority by bailing out everyone.

The reason is simple, as Mr. Bunce continued, “It is a precedent fraught with danger to the country, for when Congress once begins to stretch its power beyond the limits of the Constitution, there is no limit to it, and no security for the people.”

Then he finished with “The power of collecting and disbursing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power that can be entrusted to man, particularly under our system of collecting revenue by a tariff, which reaches every man in the country, no matter how poor he may be, and the poorer he is the more he pays in proportion to his means. What is worse, it presses upon him without his knowledge where the weight centers, for there is not a man in the United States who can ever guess how much he pays to the government. ”

In short, this bailout is the use of someone else’s money to solve problems created by another without requiring that person of company to pay the ultimate price… Most of this was created by our government and “THEY” should take the blame and resign…

Short of that we in Texas should take the matter into our own hands and secede as this blog suggests….

God Bless Texas!!!!

Sammie and Ray,
I will accept the probation period. It will be worth it.

I don’t think I will have much trouble fitting in. I sure don’t seem to fit very well here.

I grew up in Oregon and we had a saying, “Don’t californiate Oregon”. We did pretty good for a while but we failed to make the califonians moving there to assimilate. Now they outnumber the real Oregonians.

I hope that those of you in Texas do a better job than the Oregofnians did.

Reply

SammieNo Gravatar November 28, 2008 at 1:32 pm

Not too worry, they have no choice, assimilate or leave! lol
People who don’t like to have fun, shouldn’t come to Texas, if you come here and don’t have a good time, you are probably dead but don’t have enough sense to lay down! lol
We will use any excuse to have a festival, mosquito festival, cow chip tossing contest, watermelon seed spitting festival, etc, etc,. You name it, I bet we have a festival for it!

And…Sammie…don’t forget the Spring Ho in Lampasas or the Rabbit Fest in Copperas Cove. When there’s a lull in festivals, it’s off to one of our MANY lakes to fish, tube, etc. You’re right, if you don’t have fun in Texas, you’re clearly dead.

So, ‘Real Texans’ are Republican? Then, why do you brag about all our marvelous industries when all the major Texas cities voted for Obama by wide margins? Computers? Healthcare? NASA? ALL OF THESE ARE IN LIBERAL MAJORITY AREAS! Doesn’t that mean that all these wonderful Texas things are the product of left-leaning voters? GASP! Socialism!

So if this so-called ‘Real Texas’ were to break off, what then? You’d have oil from rural areas, maybe some corn, some cotton, soybean, cows … What else? Kinda starting to sound like a third world nation. Oh wait, no, there’s all that open land for wind power. But hey! Wind power?!? That’s the dang-ole’ librul greenie crap! I ain’t need no damn librul greenie crap!

I guess if you count the population of the inner cities of Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, you would be right; however, the suburbs of those cities are Republican. Further, the fact that the Republicans in Texas hold nearly twice the number of seats in Washington should give you an idea that Texas is a RED STATE. I’m willing to bet that a Texas Democrat moving to California would turn into a Republican pretty quick. Read about the bond California Republicans and Texas Democrats share in common.

When I get some extra $$, I’m hoping to take a trip there to visit (and shop)…as always, I’m not gonna want to leave. Oh, just waiting for the kids to graduate so we can move!!

Well, that so-called “stimulus package” passed. I don’t see where it’s actually going to put money back in the pockets of hard-working Americans. I don’t know why they called it a “stimulus.” The last “stimulus” actually sent rebate checks to taxpayers…this one doesn’t. I wonder just how many Texans are going forward with trying to get the Texas government to consider becoming an independent Republic again so as to get off of a sinking ship (or at least a country that’s turning socialist). 3-1/2 years before the boys are out of high school….then the hubby and I can seriously start looking at moving back to his home state of Texas!!

Believe me, the movement (secession) is on and in full swing, whether it will be successful or not is a whole ‘nuther ball game.
When the people who voted for barack find out they aren’t going to get a whole basket of goodies delivered to their front door every month, they will turn on him, it’s already starting.
He’s an arrogant hypocrite!

Hypocrit is not the word that comes to my mind. What comes to mind starts with a capital A.
